Lilian, Age 15, Methodist Girls’ Senior High School

“Computer science is immensely amusing and fun to me as of now. Same goes for engineering. I now have the confidence to step up and conquer my fears of failing, because for some strong reason I am really interested in the electronics classes and I get everything before I even hear the question or goal. When I’m building stuff using Arduino and the Raspberry Pi, I feel like I was born for engineering and for dismantling and fixing stuff with my brain and hands. That’s what I do best, I find the solution for a problem and then I recreate it, first by finding the cause, then recreate it to fix it.”

Bemah, Age 16, KNUST Senior High School

“I feel so great, I feel like I am also capable to be even better than the male engineers in the world. I have gathered so much courage and self confidence that I can’t believe it. I think I am now better than before. I have learnt that I have something great in me that if I allow myself and let it come out, it will be bright and shine for the world to see how great I am.”
